Epic Mashleg

OK, so you’d be a fool to try and argue that ALL music we throw under the EDM umbrella sounds the same, HOWEVER, there is a very unnerving case to made against large portions of it.

Without getting into a huge editorial on the subject, (Do Androids Dance recently wrote a great piece on copycatism that I suggest reading), 23 year-old Swedish house duo Daleri have targeted a number of popular Beatport Top 100 tracks (you know, those overplayed mainstage bangers like “Wakanda,” “Thunder” and “Hit It”) with a 14 song “epic mashleg” that will give you an idea of where some of those ‘all EDM sounds the same’ supporters are coming from.
